Description

An old-money billionaire heir. A nerdy rival-family heiress. One unforgettable night that changed everything. Discover the sizzling, forbidden second-chance romance that launches the epic Lords vs. Groves series by bestselling author Z.L. Arkadie, writing as Zoey Locke!

Paisley:
Nobody calls me PG but Hercules Lord, a man I’ve secretly pined for since high school. But a romance between us is strictly forbidden. The Lords are old money, and my family, the Groves, are new money. The rivalry between our dynasties runs deep enough to create an invisible line in the sand that neither of us ever dared to cross.

But that never stopped us from staring across crowded New York rooms. And it didn't stop us from sharing one secret, breathtaking night seven years ago... a night where Hercules became my first love, though he has absolutely no idea. Now, years later, a family celebration brings us crashing back together, and my careful defenses are completely shattered.

Hercules:
To the world, I’m untouchable—the golden heir bound by legacy, family obligation, and expectations older than I am. But I’m tired of playing by my family's rules, and I’m done with stolen moments. Seeing Paisley again changes everything.

With the media watching our every move and our rival families determined to tear us apart, our mutual desire is about to defy every boundary. I let her walk away once before, but this time, I am ready to protect the woman I love and cross every single line that stands between us... even if it destroys our empires.

The Ultimate Forbidden Dynasty Romance
This modern, high-chemistry Romeo & Juliet story delivers deep emotional angst, intense second-chance tension, and a fierce alpha hero determined to claim his forever. Packed with sharp pacing and a powerful family war, it is an unputdownable romance filled with a heart-racing connection that lingers long after the final page.

Crossing the Line is a steamy and emotional billionaire romance novel. It is Book 1 in the completed, interconnected Lords vs. Groves series by Zoey Locke. It features a guaranteed HEA and can be read as a standalone.

Could have been better, or worse. The female lead was just okay, smart but nice. The male lead was weak, manipulative and entitled. Actually, his whole family was entitled and manipulative. oh should consider that.

Characters are very wealthy and seemed contrived. Impossible to relate to the lifestyle described

Fun, plot twists, entertaining. The characters love is fairy tale that we all wish for.

First, the positive: there isn’t the usual trope of not telling the other what they’re thinking or feeling. But then there are the negatives: plot development is minimal; the heroine makes a big deal out of the “girl code” but then ignores it; the reader is kept in the dark about certain pertinent facts, even when coming to the resolution of the ‘problem’; there needed to be a proofreader to catch errors in both continuity and grammar. All in all, could have been a really good story, if it had been better developed — might have been a rushed first attempt that would have been better served by some polishing.

Story started out ok then mixed a fairytale into it and wrecked it. It was so bad I couldn’t finish the final chapter. Forced marriages of cousins to preserve trust funds. Really immature writing.
