Description

Someone should've told me pretending to date your best friend only works if you aren't in love with them.

Kennedy:

I'm not in love with my best friend.

That's what I tell every girl I date anyway,

but it always ends up the same.

Sienna and I are close, but that's it.

Until this summer…

Sienna:

I am in love with my best friend,

but I'm too afraid to admit it.

I'm just a hopeless romantic

who hopes her best friend might one day see her as more.

When Kennedy must return home for her brother's wedding it only makes sense to bring her best friend along. But Kennedys fears of returning home give Sienna a chance for Kennedy to see her as more—by being her fake girlfriend.

So when the line between friends and more gets blurred with Sienna, will Kennedy finally see what everyone's been telling her all along and confess her true feelings? Or will she hide how she feels to keep their friendship?

After all, a fake relationship only for the summer, can't hurt right?

It was a lot at once yet with weddings and slow burn. But I do like how each chapter usually changed from each lover’s pov (Reminds me of ‘town of Eden’ [Good book you should check on it out]) But overall decent Yuri for the lesbians fans. Would read again if it wasn’t 500+ pages.

not my style of verbiage maybe, cliché sometimes. kinda goes 0-100 after a slow start.

This book reads like the perfect lesbian hallmark movie. It is very well written and just a cozy, slow-burn/miscommunication romantic read all in all.

I don't particularly like reading, but i like romance so i wanted to read it, also because i think lesbian/gay romances are adorable, i finished the book in one day, it took me three weeks to read The Child Called It. Overall it was an amazing book which only had a little spice, I'm a teenager and my mom said i could read this so there really wasn't too much spice, I didn't know that it was be such a slow burn though, but I loved the book and it was amazing, I recommend it for anyone who likes cute romance, but can handle a few spicy scenes.

With It being set in Seaside, Oregon I hoped there would be a little more local landmarks pointed out (mostly because I miss living in Astoria and spending time at the beach!!). This was a lovely story that had me hooked! I hope they choose Ryan!
